Dr. Charles Schof DDS

Charles Schof grew up in Metairie. After graduating Brother Martin High School he attended Louisiana State University and the University of New Orleans. He earned his D.D.S.at Louisiana State University of New Orleans in 1994. In 2004 he received his Fellowship status in the Academy of General of General Dentistry. He later received Mastership status in 2005 one of a select few in Louisiana to earn this prestigious achievement. He has accumulated over 2000 hours of post graduate training to not only increase his knowledge but also to bring state of the art techniques to the Northshore.

Dr. Schof has a special interest in creating beautiful smiles and helping his patients achieve the level of health they chose to attain. He has expanded his services to help patients save both time and money. Most recently he has acquired CADCAM technology which allows for lie like reconstruction of teeth with the strongest porcelain to date. With E4D 3D dentistry many of todays restorations can be done in a single visit conserving much more of the tooth than ever before! This procedure eliminates the need for temporary restorations and return visits. After years of restoring dental implants, he elected to train at the Zimmer Institute for Dental Implants in San Diego for surgical placement of dental implants. This allows Dr Schof to eliminate multiple visits and increases efficiency for these procedures from start to finish.

As the philosophy of dentistry changes, there is an increasing movement to conserve more tooth structure. Six Month Smiles and ZOOM whitening are tools that Dr Schof has acquired to correct smiles both efficiently and conservatively.In many cases this is a viable option to Porcelain Veneers, Lumineers or dental bonding.

He has attributed his success to the team that has supported him over the years. His staff has veterans whom have been in place for over a decade. Dr Schof ‘s passion for dentistry combined with his love of people make Mandeville Center for Dental Excellence the perfect choice. On his spare time while raising his 3 children and co parenting with his wife Vicki Steen M.D., he donates his time at the AllSaints Dental Clinic in Covington. Many of his most rewarding dental cases have come through donated dentistry. He is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
