If you’ve ever wanted a straighter smile in Mandeville but you wanted to avoid traditional orthodontics, Invisalign from the office of Dr. Charles Schof may be right for you. With Invisalign, you can get a straighter smile without the unsightly appearance of traditional braces. Invisalign uses transparent plastic trays that look similar to a retainer or a night guard for teeth grinding. These are designed to place pressure on your teeth and straighten them over time.
Not only do straighter teeth help you feel more confident about your appearance, but they also help improve your oral health. Contact us today for an orthodontic consultation with Dr. Schof and see if Invisalign is right for you.

First, Dr. Schof will consult with you to determine if you’re a good candidate for treatment. If he approves you for treatment, he’ll work with Invisalign to develop your treatment plan and build your first several sets of aligners, which you’ll come and pick up at our office.
You’ll wear each set of aligners for 20-22 hours per day for two weeks. Then, you’ll switch to a new set to keep your teeth moving. Being diligent about wearing your aligners consistently is the best way to speed up your treatment.
Every 6-8 weeks, you’ll come to our office to get a quick checkup. Dr. Schof will check on your progress, and provide you with your next few sets of aligners. This same basic process will be repeated until your treatment is complete, which usually takes about a year.
Invisalign has a number of benefits. Let’s take a look at a few of them now.
Most patients with minor-to-moderate orthodontic problems qualify for treatment with Invisalign. However, treatment with traditional braces may still be recommended for severe or complex orthodontic issues. To find out if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign, contact the office of Dr. Charles Schof today to schedule an orthodontic consultation.
